K-IN and K-OUT designed by architect Massimo Castagna, aesthetically identical, are actually very different in their construction criteria in affinity with indoor or outdoor use. An essential volume, a single block exclusively in stone or wood, available in various conformations, sizes and finishes. The model, very raised from the ground and with evident overhang of the support structures and plinths, is essential, almost primitive. The large sliding lid tops conceal the kitchen work areas, opening in both directions and transforming the monolithic block of the closed kitchen in shape and proportions.

The lids become prominent snack tops thanks to the special sliding runners. The electrically operated movement, thanks to a low-voltage system, makes it possible to conceal the interior worktop in which cookers and worktop hoods are installed in the indoor version and barbecues in the outdoor version. Although the two kitchens are visually the same, so much so that they can be used in continuity with each other, they are constructed in a profoundly different way by virtue of the performance required for their different locations: wooden structures in the indoor version, aluminium for the outdoor structure. A project aimed at guaranteeing the highest level of quality in the contemporary kitchen.
